A Cape Cod mom crafting soulful treasures in my seaside home, where ocean songs and my boys, Arthur and Josh, light up my spirit. My shop, Crafting with Cammie, is a joyful ode to The Groovy Mammoth—each handcrafted piece a vibrant, healing talisman glowing with the Grateful Dead’s free-spirited energy.

It all started one Christmas, shaping salt dough ornaments with my boys. A mammoth cookie cutter sparked magic, and when Arthur painted it with bold, swirling colors, he declared, “Everyone needs a groovy mammoth!” I shared that moment on TikTok, and my community’s warmth set this journey in motion. While they once helped choose colors, I now craft monthly themes inspired by the earth’s heartbeat—nature’s hues and music’s soulful flow.

Cape Cod’s wild shores, Arthur’s love for ancient creatures, and the Grateful Dead’s cosmic rhythms guide my creations. Arthur, my future paleontologist, fuels my mammoth passion, while the Dead’s tie-dye vibes inspire earthy, starry palettes. As we create, my boys and I sing and dance, pouring joy and happiness into every Groovy Mammoth. These treasures don’t just shine with color—they carry our laughter and love, bringing that same warmth into your home.

To make these keepsakes last, I crafted an eco-friendly clay with baking soda and cornstarch for a natural base, PVA glue for strength, and acrylic fortifier for enduring vibrancy. This blend ensures each Groovy Mammoth is resilient, its healing spirit glowing for years. My “press painting” technique—layering colors and gently pressing the clay—creates one-of-a-kind designs that pulse with individuality.

Each month, I unveil new Groovy Mammoths in my shop, every piece unique, crafted to cradle joy and peace. On special occasions, I offer other funky creations—whimsical garlands or seasonal charms—but the Groovy Mammoth holds my heart for now.
